Father Time

So I’m sitting watching one of the Christmas specials with my kids tonight… the one with Red Skelton as the narrator and Rudolph trying to rescue Happy in time for New Year’s Day. I don’t remember what the name is. As with most "Happy Endings", the hero succeeds. Unfortunately, it is just as the clock is striking midnight. Rudolph says “There must be someway to get Happy to Father Time’s castle…" Just then, Santa comes by in his sleigh and offers them a ride. He says, don’t worry Rudolph. If I can get all the way around the world in a single night, I’m sure I can get you to Father Time’s castle in a few bongs.”

Funny how that line has a more nuanced meaning now then it did when I first heard it.
